Dit stadskasteel is een prachtige en rustige oase verscholen in Izegem. Het gebouw is gerenoveerd met behoud van zijn oude charme. De kamer was geweldig, schoon en goed uitgerust, met een perfect werkende regendouche. het ontbijt is hier geweldig: zoete broodjes, fruit, zelf gemaakte granola en de vriendelijke gastvrouw Laurence. Een geweldige plek om te ontspannen en te genieten van de tuin, het zwembad en de hottub.

Super locatie! Heel mooie kamer (Susanne) met een badkamer om van weg te dromen. Een heel zacht bed waardoor je heerlijks slaapt in alle rust. Uitgebreid ontbijt.

Ter Wallen was the perfect place for our strategy meeting. A break from our usual workplace, allowing us to meet in the midst of nature. Close by, yet a completely different experience. Everything was perfectly arranged—from breakfast and the meeting space to the delicious smoothie during the break, the healthy lunch, and of course, the garden and all the facilities.

Wandelen, lopen en fietsen in de streek

Kasteel Ter Wallen is een mooi vertrekpunt om de streek te verkennen, te voet of op twee wielen. De omgeving leent zich uitstekend voor een rustige ochtendwandeling of een namiddag door velden en landwegen. Twee mooie routes: de Kastelenroute, langs de oude buitens van Izegem, en de Dirk Bogarde-route, een knipoog naar de Britse acteur die wortels heeft in deze streek.

Fietsers zitten hier goed, want Izegem ligt midden in een uitgebreid netwerk van fietsknooppunten, voor een ontspannen tocht of een sportieve rit. Geen fiets bij? Wij verhuren ze ter plaatse. En wie de dag liever lopend begint, vindt op Strava onze uitgestippelde rondes van vijf en tien kilometer, telkens vertrekkend en aankomend aan het kasteel.
