The name behind the room Valère

Named after Valère Vanden Bogaerde, mayor of Izegem and Susanne’s father. In 1900 he founded the town’s first electricity plant; at its opening in 1901, Prince Albert I himself cut the ribbon.

In the heart of Izegem

Ter Wallen lies right in the centre of Izegem. Within walking distance you will find a wide choice of eating houses and restaurants. 't Hemelhuys and the Oude Sint Pieter two minutes away, De Smaak a four-minute walk. And with Bruges, Ghent and the Westhoek each within half an hour, you discover Flanders from a single base.

Valère is one of six, each named after those who built and lived in this house. Looking for a little more space? Discover our other rooms.
